Admission Deadlines
FALL:
Applications and payment must be received on or before the admissions closed date of the intended program listed (list of programs and their admissions closed dates). Application fees that arrive after the admissions closed deadline must be returned and the unpaid application will not be considered.
For individuals who wish to be considered for Graduate School funding, complete applications must be received by January 1 to receive full consideration for Graduate School fellowships. The University will be closed on January 1 and 2 therefore we strongly recommend that you submit your paid electronic application well before the end of December. Please note that most of the funding available to graduate students is program-based and many programs continue to accept applications after the Graduate School January 1 funding due date. Many programs have recommended application due dates posted on their individual web sites which you should comply with to ensure priority consideration of your application.
Final deadlines for admission (not funding) vary by program and may change or close without prior notification. Once a program is closed it is no longer listed as a selection on the application and no application can be started or finished. No additional fall applications to any program will be accepted after June 15.
SPRING AND SUMMER:
Very few programs admit new students for Spring or Summer terms. For those few that do, no Spring applications will be accepted after October 15 and no Summer applications will be accepted after March 15.
Applications and payment must be received on or before the admissions closed date for your intended program.
NEXT YEAR:
We begin accepting applications in early July for next calendar year terms.
